About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver Student position. You will work toward obtaining your CDL-A while gaining practical experience as an LTL Driver. This role is paid and includes benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) options, and paid time off.
What you'll do#
- Attend training sessions to earn your CDL-A.
- Gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver under supervision.
- Perform required vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload freight using a forklift.
- Maintain regular contact with service center personnel.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports according to company and DOT policies.
What you'll need#
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid state-issued driver's license for at least 12 months.
- Obtain a CDL-A permit by the first day of class.
- Pass a DOT drug test.
- Maintain a safe driving record and history.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
