    About the role#

    As an Electrical Engineering Intern within our Buildings team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the design and analysis of technology systems. You will work alongside engineers and multidisciplinary teams to create smarter, safer, and more connected built environments. This role contributes to projects that enhance communities, improve infrastructure, and support sustainable development.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the design and analysis of technology systems, including security, communication, and audiovisual (AV) systems for buildings, infrastructure, industrial, and energy-related projects.
    • Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and technical memoranda.
    • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop solutions.
    • Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, and field investigations.
    • Review electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements to support compliant designs.
    • Assist with project coordination, documentation, and team communication.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
    • Intent to return to full-time studies after the internship.
    • Strong interest in technology design, security, communication, building systems, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
    • Excellent organizational skills for a consulting environment.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or SKM is an asset.
    • A valid driver's license is an asset for fieldwork and site visits.

    • Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: $24.80 - $32.65 per hour.
    • Status: Paid position.
