About the role#
Join our industrial team in Sherbrooke as a Chemical Engineering Intern. You will work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and project managers on real industrial projects. This role focuses on process engineering and project management, helping you build technical and professional skills in a consulting environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, budget estimates, and calculation notes.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Support the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial processes.
- Run process simulations and analyze data to help inform project decisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to gather technical data and cost estimates.
- Assist with project tracking, including schedules, risks, and progress reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Chemical or Biotechnological Engineering.
- Completion of at least three years of university studies.
- Prior experience from previous internships or industrial projects.
- Solid understanding of mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
- Fluency in French and good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with process simulation software like Aspen Plus or HYSYS is an asset.
- A valid driver license is an asset.

- Location: WSP office in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
- Work modality: On-site, four days per week.
- Compensation: 34,200 $ - 43,200 $ per year.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
