About the role#
As a Scientific Research and Experimental Design (SR&ED) Co-op, you will join our Tax practice to help Canadian companies access tax credits and incentives that fund innovation. You will work with a team of professionals to assist corporations, individuals, and partnerships in claiming incentives for eligible research and development activities. This role provides exposure to tax research, technology, and business strategy within an 8-month term.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the completion of SR&ED claims and other incentive program submissions.
- Complete assignments on time and within budget to meet client expectations.
- Provide practical solutions to optimize client returns from government incentives.
- Attend meetings and support clients during SR&ED reviews.
- Contribute to business development activities to identify and research new opportunities.
- Assist in managing and delivering large projects while developing technical acumen.
What you'll need#
- Completion of second-year courses in accounting or a STEM field (Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Computer Science).
- Strong client-service orientation focused on high-quality, timely results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills to apply SR&ED rules to client opportunities.

- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $59,000 - $69,000 annually, with eligibility for performance pay programs.
