About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Environmental Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 12-week, on-site position based in either Oakland or Rancho Cordova, California. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Support various environmental engineering tasks.
- Assist with project research, field work, and technical report writing.
- Collect and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, field notes, and project notes.
- Complete all required training for your assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD program in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Basic proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and technical writing tools.

- Locations: Oakland, CA or Rancho Cordova, CA.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12-week program).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.90 - $32.22 per hour.
- Note: This position does not provide relocation or housing assistance.
