About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within the Power and Energy team. You will work on-site at our San Diego office during the summer of 2027. The program lasts 12 weeks and begins on May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff to gain hands-on experience and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to build your technical and ethical skills.
- Help with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Learn basic principles of electrical engineering.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate, Masters, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and common engineering tools.
- Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.

- Compensation: $23.90 to $31.11 per hour.
