About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern in our Nuclear Power Group, you will support projects that modernize electrical systems for nuclear power plants. You will work alongside experienced engineers to assist with plant life-extension and digital upgrade initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in nuclear power generation and electrical system design, providing insight into the path toward professional licensure.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing engineering calculations and design tasks for nuclear power generating stations, including protection studies, cable sizing, and system design.
- Perform power systems analysis and modeling for complex electrical networks using ETAP.
- Help with the design, selection, and integration of major electrical power equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and motor control centers.
- Collaborate with designers and drafters to translate engineering concepts into detailed drawings.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary mock engineering project based on real-world examples, ultimately presenting your solution to senior staff.
- Use modern tools and automation to improve workflows and deliver technical designs.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A strong academic background and relevant coursework.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site.

- Status: Full-time and paid internship.
