About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists on projects that power and connect communities. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the design and delivery of electrical systems while developing the technical skills needed for a career in engineering. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on buildings, transportation infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and analysis of electrical systems for buildings, infrastructure, industrial, and energy-related projects.
- Assist with electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and design documentation.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and technical memoranda.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, and field investigations.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop technical solutions.
- Review electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Returning to full-time studies upon completion of the internship term.
- Strong interest in electrical systems design, power distribution, building systems, infrastructure, industrial facilities, or renewable energy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a consulting environment.
