About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Electrical Engineering internship based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will join our Power and Energy team for a 12-week program starting in May 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to gain hands-on experience and professional mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and professional skills.
- Learn foundational principles of Electrical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete required training for your assigned tasks.
- Follow company policies regarding resources, safety, and conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering with a graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

- This position is located on-site in Overland Park, KS.
- The internship is a full-time, paid position.
