About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship for a Software Engineer. You will work with the Business Technology division to support daily objectives while gaining exposure to the insurance industry. You will join an Agile team and participate in project planning, execution, and evaluation. At the end of the term, you will prepare and deliver a capstone presentation summarizing your project work and skill development.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Write, debug, and test applications using Java, C#.NET, and Python.
- Manage pipelines and work items using Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Meet weekly with the intern cohort and company leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a Computer Science degree program.
- A minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Experience with software development, code repositories, and software IDEs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

- This role is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The position offers a hybrid work schedule.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
