About the role#
The Actuarial Intern role provides support to the Actuarial division by assisting with daily objectives. You will gain exposure to the planning, execution, and evaluation stages of various projects within the insurance industry. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks related to life insurance and annuity Product Development, Inforce Management, or Valuation as assigned by management.
- Assist with a variety of actuarial functions to support division goals.
- Meet weekly with the Internship Cohort and participate in meetings with division-level leadership.
- Summarize and present a capstone project detailing your internship experience, skill development, and key learnings.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college with a focus in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Progress toward ASA certification with at least one SOA exam completed.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including experience with spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
- Exposure to programming solutions such as Python, R, VB, SQL, or comparable languages.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Strong communication skills, accountability, and a focus on innovation.
