About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Omaha, Nebraska. You will join our marketing team to gain hands-on experience in content strategy, social media management, and brand storytelling. This role involves participating in leadership development activities and completing a capstone presentation on your project work and learnings.
What you'll do#
- Research social media trends, audience preferences, and competitor activity.
- Assist with content development, including writing captions and identifying visual assets.
- Support the planning and implementation of social media campaigns.
- Monitor social media platforms and assist with community engagement.
- Maintain social media content calendars and planning tools.
- Conduct social listening and track performance analytics.
- Prepare reports and recommendations to support social media strategy.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising junior, senior, or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Digital Media, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience creating or managing social media content for school, work, or extracurricular organizations.
- Strong written communication and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency with AI-powered tools for content development and productivity.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, including data privacy and ethical considerations.
- Ability to craft effective prompts for generative AI tools.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- A passion for making an impact in local communities.
