About the role#
As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support our Business Technology division. You will work within an Agile intern team as a Systems Test Engineer. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from planning to execution, while providing hands-on experience in the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a Systems Test Engineer on an Agile intern team.
- Create detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, functional integration, and regression testing.
- Explore test automation by writing and executing automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with business units and development teams to manage test data.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist with administrative tasks and prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation.
- Meet weekly with the intern cohort, Executive Leadership, and division leaders.
- Summarize and present a capstone presentation at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
- Ability to provide S.T.A.R. customer service.
- Interest in creative thinking and community impact.
