About the role#
As a Corporate Security Intern, you will work with the Rockland Trust Corporate Security team to develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions. This role focuses on transforming raw data into insights that help leaders make informed decisions. You will gain practical experience with enterprise reporting, analytics, automation, and visualization while contributing to projects that provide value across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
- Design, build, and enhance user-friendly Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
- Connect dashboards to multiple data sources, including Excel files, databases, and cloud-based platforms.
- Apply data visualization best practices to improve reporting effectiveness and user experience.
- Help automate recurring reports and processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Test dashboards and reports to ensure data accuracy and functionality.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and implement reporting enhancements.
- Document dashboard specifications, data sources, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs, define key performance indicators, and develop analytics solutions.
- Participate in collaborative summer projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic familiarity with Power BI.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Exposure to SQL and database concepts is preferred.
- Previous coursework, projects, or internship experience involving data analytics, reporting, or dashboard development is preferred.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
- Interest in business intelligence, automation, and data-driven decision-making is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Rockland, Massachusetts.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
