About the role#
As a Scrum Master Intern, you will support the Business Technology division by helping the team meet daily objectives. You will gain hands-on experience in the planning, execution, and evaluation stages of projects within the insurance industry. This 10-week summer program focuses on providing real-world experience and mentorship to help you grow your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Participate in Scaled Agile activities, including PI Planning and cross-team coordination.
- Help the team identify and resolve impediments and manage project dependencies.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog.
- Coach team members on Agile principles, tools, and best practices.
- Use team metrics to identify improvement opportunities and guide performance.
- Assist with user story estimation and forecasting.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and risks to leadership.
- Summarize and present a capstone presentation covering your project accomplishments and key learnings.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore, junior, or senior status in college.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A 3.5 GPA or higher.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Aptitude for learning Agile tools like ADO, VSTS, and Jira.
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and basic metrics such as velocity and predictability.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- A growth mindset and a passion for community impact.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a hybrid work schedule.
