About the role#
As an AI Engineer Intern at WoodmenLife, you will work within our Data and AI team to build and test enterprise AI solutions. You will work alongside senior engineers to develop agentic and automation tools using the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem. This position is designed for students or early-career technologists who want hands-on experience with production-level AI systems.
What you'll do#
- Join daily stand-up meetings to coordinate project priorities with your team.
- Partner with senior AI Engineers to build and deploy agentic and automation solutions.
- Test and validate new technologies before they move into production.
- Write documentation and add to the team internal knowledge base.
- Meet with business stakeholders to learn about current processes and find new opportunities for automation.
What you'll need#
- Interest in AI, Machine Learning, Custom CoPilots, and working with unstructured data.
- Ability to work well with both technical and business partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
