About the role#
This is a 10-week paid summer internship for undergraduate students. You will join the West Elm team in Brooklyn to gain hands-on experience in retail design. The program runs from June 7th to August 13th, 2027, with some flexibility for students on a quarter system.
What you'll do#
- Create concept boards and manage samples.
- Support new product lines.
- Participate in business presentations and attend critical meetings.
- Lead specific projects and brainstorm with leadership.
- Present a new idea to the executive team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Graphic Design or Industrial Design degree program.
- Expected graduation date of Spring/Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- A portfolio or website showcasing school or personal design projects.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Brooklyn, New York.
- You must be able to work on-site 4-5 days per week.
- This is a full-time position.
