    About the role#

    Wholestone Farms is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with accounts payable and receivable. You will process invoices and apply receipts to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. This is a full-time, paid position based in Fremont, Nebraska.

    What you'll do#

    • Process outgoing payments in line with financial policies.
    • Apply receipts and handle credit or debit memos.
    • Verify, classify, and record daily accounts payable and receivable data.
    • Reconcile the accounts payable and receivable ledger.
    • Investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
    • Contact clients to facilitate aging payables and receivables.
    • Generate status reports for accounts payable and receivable.
    • Maintain an understanding of expense accounts, cost centers, and compliance requirements.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Current college Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Accounting.
    • Minimum of 18 years of age.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new software.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Basic office skills including phone etiquette, typing, and directing visitors.
    • Ability to work independently and interact with a variety of individuals.

    • Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
