    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship program lasting 10 weeks during the summer of 2027. You will work within the FSQA and Technical Services departments to ensure our pork production meets safety and quality standards. This role requires on-site work at one of our plants in Fremont, Nebraska, or Eagle Grove, Iowa.

    What you'll do#

    • Verify and measure manufactured products to confirm compliance with food safety programs.
    • Perform tasks related to animal welfare.
    • Make operational decisions based on temperature, quantitative values, and exact measurements.
    • Write business correspondence, reports, policies, and procedures.
    • Present information and answer questions for individuals or groups.

    What you'll need#

    • Current status as a college Junior or Senior.
    • A degree in Marketing, Agribusiness, or an equivalent field.
    • Ability to read, write, and interpret complex documents like flow sheets, professional articles, and government regulations.
    • Mathematical skills to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and work with various units of measure.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Basic computer literacy with a willingness to learn new software.
    • Ability to apply common sense and judgment to solve problems.
