    About the role#

    Wholestone Farms is hiring an Industrial Engineering Intern to support our food and beverage manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Fremont, Nebraska. We are looking for students or graduates pursuing a degree in Industrial, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead projects to develop and improve plant processes.
    • Work with operations teams to increase productivity.
    • Define and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
    • Analyze data to optimize worker efficiency, improve yield, reduce waste, and refine workplace layouts.
    • Develop and maintain accurate cost standards and procedures.
    • Review organizational charts and project information to identify and resolve areas of work duplication.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is in progress or completed.
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the primary language of the workplace.
    • Ability to interpret graphs, flow sheets, financial data, and technical manuals.
    • Strong skills in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
    • Ability to perform arithmetic, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
    • Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn new software.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Comfort communicating and interacting with a wide variety of people.
