About the role#
Wholestone Farms is looking for an Operations Intern to join our team in Fremont, Nebraska. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term. You will work across our Operations department, gaining exposure to food manufacturing and delivery processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks related to Pork Fabrication, Hog Processing, and Shipping/Warehouse operations.
- Create, read, and interpret financials, graphs, rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Handle basic office duties such as typing, copying, faxing, and managing phone calls.
- Interact with a variety of individuals and present information as needed.
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant them.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and a current college Junior or Senior.
- A degree or major in Marketing, Agribusiness, or an equivalent field is required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the language of the majority cultural group.
- Proficiency in basic math, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer knowledge with a willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations.
