About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will report to the Chemical Engineering Manager at our facility in Hopkins, South Carolina. The role requires you to work on-site.
What you'll do#
- Establish and update Process Safety Information for department operations and Process Safety Management processes.
- Develop specifications for equipment and instruments.
- Review and improve Preventative Maintenance procedures and templates.
- Enter data into the Leading 2 Lead database.
- Approve production operating procedures, Job Safety Analysis, and work standards.
- Support the design of new products and modifications to existing designs.
- Improve production techniques and create test procedures for manufacturing.
- Ensure all work follows the Change Control Process.
- Maintain an electronic library of technical articles, experimental studies, and reports related to zirconium production and metallurgy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and production processes or equipment.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).

- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
