About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, you will perform professional pharmacy functions within our clinical environment. This role supports the daily operations of the department and ensures patients receive accurate medication therapy. This is a part-time, on-site position with a PRN schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Procure and distribute medication orders based on requests from physicians and pharmacists.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of medications and supplies.
- Provide drug information, monitor drug therapy, and conduct medication use reviews.
- Support department operations by adhering to established policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Focus on quality assessment and environmental safety.
- Deliver service to customers while fostering teamwork and practicing fiscal responsibility.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
