About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Elkhart, Indiana. You will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while working toward full licensure. This role focuses on patient care, medication management, and supporting the pharmacy team in a retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Handle the compounding, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties.
- Engage with patients to address questions and resolve issues.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology and systems.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
