About the role#
The People Analytics team at Wellington Management is looking for a data-focused professional to help leaders make informed talent decisions. You will build analytical models for workforce planning, talent retention, and employee engagement. This role is a hands-on opportunity to apply data science skills in a real-world HR environment while collaborating with partners across the business.
What you'll do#
- Deliver reliable monthly and quarterly analytical support and maintain critical dashboards.
- Lead the prediction and forecasting workstream using HR data.
- Propose, test, and validate AI-driven analytical models.
- Identify research opportunities by mining data to generate practical talent insights.
- Consolidate and decommission reporting dashboards by migrating them from Tableau to PowerBI.
- Perform deep-dive research to recommend improvements and streamline workflows.
- Support client and ad hoc reporting requests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience with data visualization, analysis, and programming tools, including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python.
- Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts like automation, APIs, data modeling, and data management.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial, and collaborative work ethic.
- Alignment with the firm's values of inclusivity, accountability, and collegiality.
