    About the role#

    Wave Life Sciences is seeking a co-op student to join the Process Development team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This role offers exposure to oligonucleotide synthesis, analytical methods, and formulations. You will receive training in laboratory techniques and instrumentation used across the biotechnology industry. This position is suitable for students seeking their first co-op experience.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare buffers and samples for analysis.
    • Perform analytical QC of oligonucleotides using UV, endotoxin, osmolality, pH, LC, and LC-MS.
    • Assist with solubility and stability studies.
    • Support method development activities and data analysis.
    • Manage oligonucleotide inventory.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment such as LC and LC-MS systems.
    • Document all experiments in an electronic notebook.
    • Communicate experimental results to your team.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a degree program related to Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strict adherence to lab safety protocols and use of required PPE.
    • Previous laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or biochemistry is preferred.
