About the role#
The Research Associate Intern position involves working on molecular diagnostic products for oncology and prenatal medicine. You will work on-site at our Menlo Park office, collaborating with scientists who have expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology. This role focuses on moving assays from research prototypes to commercial products used in clinical labs.
What you'll do#
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments and assays with guidance from Senior Scientists.
- Learn and apply analytical and computational methods to interpret results.
- Document all experimental details and results.
- Present your findings through internal written reports and verbal updates at group meetings.
What you'll need#
- An anticipated BS or MS in Bioengineering, Molecular and Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Previous independent research experience.
- High aptitude for mathematics and statistics.
- Strong attention to detail.
- An ability to quickly learn new experimental and analytical concepts.
