About the role#
Genesis Biotechnology Group is hiring a Research Associate Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is an unpaid, full-time internship that requires you to work on-site at our Hamilton Township, New Jersey office. You must be a current student at an accredited college pursuing a major in Biology, Chemistry, or Biomedical Sciences. This position is intended to be completed for academic credit, so please verify your eligibility with your school before accepting an offer.
What you'll do#
- Perform organic synthesis for one or multiple research projects.
- Focus on hit to lead or lead optimization against novel drug targets.
- Synthesize compounds for the research compound collection.
- Work both independently and as part of a team under the guidance of the Department Director.
What you'll need#
- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization.
- Proficiency with modern chromatographic techniques including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS.
- Experience with parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry.
