About the role#
Warner Bros. Discovery offers documentary production internship opportunities for the Fall 2026 term in Atlanta. These roles provide hands-on experience in the entertainment and news industries. Interns will work in a hybrid capacity for 16-24 hours per week over a 10-week period, from October 12th to December 18th. These are paid positions.
What you'll do#
- Pitch story ideas and assist with the research and development of shows.
- Support editorial staff by setting up shoots and gathering video and editorial materials.
- Conduct research, including logging, transcribing, and organizing archival footage and visual elements.
- Prepare pitches for potential characters, experts, and show concepts.
- Screen documentary films, write coverage, and provide feedback.
- Organize and gather relevant industry data and input.
- Fact-check materials and assist with general production tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program.
- Status as a rising Junior or rising Senior undergraduate student (18 years or older).
- A minimum 3.0 GPA and academic good standing.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Psychology, or Political Science.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and similar spreadsheet platforms.
- A strong interest in documentaries, news, and long-form storytelling.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
