About the role#
This is a student position based in the East Region of Ontario. You will support our ready-mix concrete operations by ensuring product quality and gathering field data. This role is open for students during the Summer and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Visit job sites to perform concrete and raw materials testing according to CSA and ASTM standards.
- Record test data and apply statistical quality control procedures.
- Supervise and plan for the efficient use of equipment and materials.
- Promote value added products to customers.
- Collect market and job information.
- Recommend changes to existing production or quality standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering Technician program or a similar field of study.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- A valid G2 or G driver’s license and a 3-year driver’s abstract.
- Ability to operate a company pick-up truck.
- Capability to perform physical tasks outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous construction field experience is an asset.
