About the role#
This internship provides college students with hands-on experience in the retail apparel industry. You will support the Women's Merchandising team with daily operations, administrative tasks, and departmental projects. This is an unpaid, for-credit opportunity requiring coordination with your academic institution to provide necessary documentation.
What you'll do#
- Organize and manage samples, including maintaining accurate inventory and tracking sample arrivals.
- Assist with prep work for Board Reviews and Line Adoptions, including board and sample edits.
- Create product knowledge materials for retail stores and product details for the e-commerce business.
- Conduct competitive research on styles and pricing to identify market trends, business voids, and opportunities.
- Participate in team discussions and demonstrate the ability to listen to others at all levels of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
- A strong interest in merchandising and a passion for the vineyard vines brand.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential company materials.
Location & details#
- Location: Stamford, Connecticut.
- Term: Fall 2026, lasting up to 15 weeks.
- Schedule: This role is on-site. You must be able to work in the office at least two days per week, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
