About the role#
As a Test and Validation Co-Op within our Mechatronics rotational program, you will develop the foundational skills required to become a Validation Engineer in the automotive ADAS systems industry. You will support the product validation lifecycle from the RFQ phase to final customer acceptance. This role includes rotations in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Validation and Testing, and Warranty departments.
What you'll do#
- Assist in analyzing customer specifications and defining validation plans that meet quality targets.
- Learn to use bench equipment and laboratory tools to understand products and identify failures.
- Develop test scripts using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Support the Device Under Test failure analysis process.
- Participate in weekly project team reviews.
- Generate test reports, conduct data peer-reviews, and maintain project dashboards.
- Contribute to the automation of test environment processes and improve laboratory instruction sheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Desire to specialize in National Instruments tools like LabVIEW and TestStand, as well as Python or Java.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents or schematics.
- Capacity to react quickly to technical issues.
- Methodical and self-motivated approach to teamwork in a multinational environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
