About the role#
The Operations Business Process Owner Intern program provides hands-on experience within the Life Insurance organization. Interns work in either the Claims Operations or Specialized Member Services groups. You will work under direct supervision to support team members, resolve problems, and follow risk and compliance procedures. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to help you build professional skills through real business challenges and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Digitization of forms and documents.
- Facilitate improvements in cycle times.
- Use AI to review and confirm documentation.
- Develop, sustain, and manage business processes using a structured approach.
- Gain foundational knowledge of the business and align deliverables with business needs.
- Conduct research to support process activities and monitor the health of current processes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to lead continuous process improvement.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Business Communications, Process Engineering, MBA, or a related field.
- Graduation date between August 2027 and June 2028.
- Must graduate after August 13, 2027.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in financial services.
- Knowledge of life insurance and annuities.
