About the role#
The Risk Management Intern supports the daily operations of the Risk Management and Insurance Office at the University of Wyoming. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this position offers hands-on experience with enterprise risk management, compliance, and financial reconciliation. This role is ideal for students looking to develop professional skills in data analysis, project coordination, and administrative operations within a higher education setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support for the daily operations of the Risk Management Office.
- Create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets, databases, and electronic records.
- Compile, organize, validate, and summarize data from multiple University systems.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports using University information systems and other software applications.
- Communicate professionally with faculty, staff, students, vendors, insurance carriers, members of the public, and other stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled student in an undergraduate or graduate level degree program at the University of Wyoming.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
