About the role#
The OPS Student Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Office of Admissions, the Office of the Registrar, and the Office of Financial Aid. This role involves direct interaction with prospective students and families, as well as internal support for recruitment and data management teams.
What you'll do#
- Staff the Customer Care Team front desk or the Call Center.
- Interact with admission recruiters, advisors, and student applicants.
- Explain the application process to students and parents.
- Make outgoing calls to prospective and admitted students.
- Scan, image, and verify application materials for the Data Management team.
- Prepare information packets and manage mailings for prospective students.
- Handle physical tasks such as folding letters, stuffing envelopes, and lifting boxes.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by office staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of South Florida.
- General office skills.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with potential for additional daytime hours.
- This is a paid, student temporary position.
