About the role#
The IT Analytics Student Assistant position provides hands-on experience within the Analytics & Data Management Solutions team at the University of South Florida. This role offers exposure to reporting, data quality, documentation, and general technology operations in a professional IT environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the team with data validation and report testing.
- Conduct data quality reviews and participate in process improvement activities.
- Assist with maintaining team documentation and creating training materials.
- Support various reporting initiatives.
- Perform administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current USF student during the appointed semester and meet all student employment requirements.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
- Preferred: Major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, or relevant data analysis coursework.
- Interest in analytics, reporting, data management, or business intelligence.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, flexible within business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday) with accommodations for class schedules.
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, paid position.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
