About the role#
The MESA Engineering Program at Sac State is hiring three student assistants to manage visitor interactions and handle general office tasks. This role supports a program dedicated to helping students earn degrees in engineering and computer science. Please note this position is open to current Sac State students only.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff or area.
- Manage a multi-line phone system and respond to emails.
- Schedule appointments and make deliveries on campus.
- Assist with the coordination of program events.
- Perform administrative duties including filing, word processing, data entry, and report completion.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sac State student with at least six units for undergraduates or four units for graduate students.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A service-oriented mindset and the ability to maintain accuracy while working with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to support FERPA confidentiality policies.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during academic breaks.
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour.
