About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to support the Unclaimed Property Division with daily technology operations. This role provides hands-on experience in hardware and software support, technical troubleshooting, and user assistance. You will work directly with the division to maintain systems and resolve technical issues.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical resolution for software, hardware, and network problems for users.
- Act as the Tier 1 support contact to triage incoming tickets and escalate as needed.
- Develop and maintain the asset inventory using SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate PC hardware, operating system, and software updates across the division.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT program at an accredited college or university.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine-quarter units.
- Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and solve them logically.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. Hours vary up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
- This is a part-time, temporary, and non-benefited position.
