About the role#
The WELL at Sacramento State is hiring a Group Fitness Supervisor II. This role provides administrative and operational leadership for the group fitness program. You will work alongside professional staff and student employees to keep operations organized and consistent. This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
What you'll do#
- Maintain instructor certifications and staff rosters.
- Create and distribute program announcements and routine communications.
- Manage class scheduling, including coverage and staffing updates.
- Support class operations through check-ins, instructor assistance, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate special events, including logistics and on-site support.
- Assist with equipment inventory and studio maintenance.
- Teach group fitness classes if you are qualified and assigned to do so.
- Help professional staff train and motivate instructors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Sacramento State.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service skills.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Group fitness instructor certification is required only if you are assigned to teach.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Schedule: Shifts are available Monday through Saturday. Students generally work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
