About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring two Student Assistants to join the Cal/OSHA Enforcement Unit in the Goleta office. This part-time, temporary position supports the department in protecting worker safety and ensuring compliance with labor laws. You will work on-site with a flexible schedule between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Prepare compliance reports and document inspections.
- Adjust and calibrate technical and measuring field devices.
- Complete inspection forms and manage case files.
- Intake complaints and accident reports from the public via phone, email, and in-person.
- Accompany compliance inspectors during on-site visits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited university as a college student.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine-quarter units.
- Pursuing a degree in an ABET-accredited engineering curriculum or a field related to occupational safety and health, such as chemistry, biology, or public health.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
