About the role#
Union Pacific Railroad is hiring an intern to support the Risk Management team within the Law Department. This year-round position offers experience in incident response and the handling of rail operations. You will gain exposure to company processes and systems while working on projects alongside team leaders.
What you'll do#
- Maintain organized and complete investigation files and electronic records.
- Complete case-file audits using established processes.
- Gather and organize documents for audits and external reporting.
- Review, analyze, and trend data to identify process efficiencies and support team needs.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to obtain information.
- Support the management of company assets in accordance with policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completed college credits equivalent to at least one year toward an undergraduate degree.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize detailed records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Skill in prioritizing work and managing multiple assignments.
- Ability to work full-time in Omaha during the summer.
- Availability to work 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The work modality is hybrid, with time spent on-site at the Union Pacific Center and some remote flexibility as approved by your manager.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
