About the role#
The Environmental Management intern supports projects focused on compliance, sustainability, and environmental data analytics. You will work with the Environmental Services and Technology team to assist with air, water, and waste compliance efforts. This role involves managing projects from start to finish, collaborating with subject matter experts, and learning core business processes. You will gain experience in a professional setting while contributing to sustainable operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data analytics and reporting projects using tools like Tableau.
- Build self-service reports and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Develop and execute project action plans.
- Provide operational support to department business group members.
- Contribute to sustainability and conservation initiatives.
- Build a network of professional contacts across the company.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Intermediate skills in organization, prioritization, and project management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a year-round, paid internship located in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The role offers a hybrid work environment.
- You will work 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with up to 40 hours per week available during the summer.
- Compensation is between $21 and $25 per hour, depending on experience and year of study.
