About the role#
UChicago Medicine is hiring a Student Pharmacy Intern for the Investigational Drug Services team. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure research and pharmacy compliance. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and research staff to support pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and archive pharmacy study files, including preparation for audits and study close-outs.
- Gather and file documentation to meet USP standards for cleanroom and non-sterile compounding areas.
- Review and maintain documentation for research credentials, such as licensure and training certificates.
- Assist with quality improvement projects to support safe and efficient operations.
- Perform pharmacy tasks including medication dispensing, compounding, inventory management, and automation support.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician Licensure with the student pharmacist designation, or eligibility to obtain it.

- Location: Hyde Park campus, Illinois.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 4 hours per week on weekdays.
- Shift: Days.
- Work modality: On-site.
