About the role#
UC Health is hiring a PRN Pharmacy Intern for the Inpatient Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support pharmacy services, patient care, and formulary management.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists, and pharmacy leadership.
- Conduct medication use evaluations per DPD and subcommittee requests.
- Develop New Drug Memos to educate staff on new formulary additions.
- Support drug information services and patient education.
- Assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient population.
- Maintain records of subcommittee actions and track formulary changes.
- Respond to drug information requests and provide notice of drug alternatives.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Valid pharmacy intern registration recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
- 0 to 6 months of equivalent experience.
- Ability to work accurately with high attention to detail under time constraints.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing workloads.
