About the role#
The Tax Accounting Intern role is an entry-level position within the tax organization. This is a year-round internship based in Springdale, Arkansas. You are expected to work part-time, 20 hours per week, during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months.
What you'll do#
- Prepare sales and use tax returns.
- Assist with tax audits.
- Support property or payroll tax tasks.
- Conduct tax research.
- Participate in various non-income tax-related activities and development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Finance or Accounting major, preferably as an incoming junior or senior with at least one year of school remaining.
- Ability to maintain active student status throughout the internship.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be within a 60-mile commutable distance of the Springdale facility.
