About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring a Finance Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lexington, Kentucky, or Louisville, Kentucky. You will support profit centers by applying your academic knowledge to real projects while working under the guidance of the accounting team.
What you'll do#
- Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Handle General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, and data entry.
- Prepare multi-project invoices and owner applications for payment.
- Assist with the monthly close process and internal or external audit requests.
- Work with subcontractors to manage lien waivers and contract requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with team members and clients.
- Provide regular progress reports to your supervisor.
- Participate in company learning opportunities and conferences.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university with at least one year of completed education.
- A major in Accounting or Finance.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
- Experience with data entry and database management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
- A proactive approach to new projects and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to work a standard work week.
