About the role#
This Fall 2026 Co-Op position offers students hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on-site or in an office setting to support project teams with daily operations, financial management, and safety protocols. This is a paid, full-time opportunity designed to build your foundational knowledge of the construction lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day project activities and support the Project Engineer, Superintendent, or Manager.
- Handle meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and document control.
- Provide progress reports and attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Assist with the collection and review of shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information.
- Help prepare estimates for changes in work and distribute subcontractor proposals.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs and assist with project close-out tasks.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Participate in required training, meetings, and orientation sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university program, preferably in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- At least one year of completed education or equivalent training and experience.
- A strong interest in construction management and a desire to learn the industry.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
- Ability to work independently or in a team and follow tasks through to completion.
- Organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take direction.
- Flexibility to work standard business hours and overtime as needed.
