About the role#
Tucson Electric Power is seeking a student intern to join the Procurement & Contracts department. This role provides administrative support to our team while offering practical work experience. You will be part of a temporary program designed to supplement our staff while you continue your academic studies. We expect interns to prioritize their education, and we will work with you to schedule your hours accordingly.
What you'll do#
You will handle various administrative tasks to keep our department running. Responsibilities include:
- Typing, filing, and managing documentation.
- Developing reports and creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Analyzing data and presenting your findings to department management.
- Scheduling meetings and coordinating team calendars.
- Working on special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active enrollment in a Business Administration or related degree program.
- Ability to maintain full-time student status, good academic standing, and the GPA required for graduation.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present data.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diversified workload with initiative.
- Effective communication skills and a professional, solution-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Suite is preferred.

- Location: Tucson, Arizona (Downtown).
- Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Summer 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Schedule: 15 to 20 hours per week during the school term and 20 to 40 hours per week during breaks.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
