About the role#
The T&D Asset Management team at Tucson Electric Power is looking for a student intern to support our infrastructure operations. You will work alongside maintenance engineers and planners to help manage equipment data, assess asset conditions, and refine our internal procedures. This role is based in Tucson and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Administer the equipment testing database.
- Gather and analyze data for asset condition assessments.
- Improve the quality and availability of asset data.
- Track, code, and trend information regarding equipment failures and outages.
- Review and develop departmental procedures.
- Shadow and assist maintenance engineers and planners with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering or Information Systems degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Ability to maintain full-time student status and good academic standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with database management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Work schedule: 20 to 40 hours per week depending on the season, school breaks, and summer schedule.
