About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship focused on property management. You will rotate through key areas of the business, including leasing, maintenance, operations, and management. A senior leader will mentor you throughout the program, and you will work on real-world projects alongside our professional team.
What you'll do#
- Practice sales techniques and support marketing efforts by creating analysis reports.
- Learn to use industry software programs and manage community calendars.
- Assist with property tours, site visits, and pre-inspections to ensure units are ready for rent.
- Support maintenance management, including processing requests.
- Handle accounts receivable and provide clerical and phone support.
- Maintain accurate digital and paper records.
- Resolve resident complaints and assist with legal eviction processes.
- Review financial move-out procedures and provide customer service to residents and prospects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program, with sophomore year completed preferred.
- At least 1 year of work experience or involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions and use resident management software.
- Understanding of state fair housing laws.
- Ability to handle stress and demonstrate leadership.
- Fluency in reading and writing English.

- Location: Portland, Oregon.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19 to $23 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time. Availability for some nights and weekends is required.
